The undertaking included extensive work on the ceiling, roof, woodwork and stained glass windows. New BA.2.86 variant found in Scotland

Getty ImagesThe winter vaccination programme for those who are eligible begins on 4 SeptemberScotland has detected its first case of a new Covid variant that is being closely monitored by the World Health Organization. The BA.2.86 variant is not yet considered a variant of concern but it has a high number of mutations. Genomic sequencing detected the variant from a PCR sample collected on 16 August. Regarding the Feb. 3 Politics & the Nation article “Hunting is declining, creating a crisis for conservation”: I have hunted for most of my life, and I know many people who also hunt. I primarily hunt waterfowl — ducks and geese. In recent years, I have noticed a big drop in the seasonal migration of waterfowl. I have hunted geese in Northern Virginia, in areas near Berryville down to Culpeper. Several times, I was amazed at the number of birds in the air. Read More...
